OUR VISION

The advances in medical science, which made Geoff’s bone marrow transplant possible, have offered him a realistic hope of cure.

Sadly however for many people with leukaemia, both adults and children, effective treatments still do not exist. However the remarkable scientific advances which have been made in the last few years in understanding why leukaemia’s and other blood cancers develop has now given the medical teams the information they need to design new drug and transplant therapies.

As a result there is now a real chance to transform the treatment possibilities for many patients for whom effective treatments have not previously existed.

Progress will only be made however if doctors and scientists across the country can be given the resources they need to work together to develop and deliver these new treatments.
